This standard applies to copper strip [hereinafter called the strip] used for Power wires.

Annealed copper strip. The Chemical Composition Cu. % stated below:

1. C1100R – 0 -99.90 min.

2. C1020R – 0 -99.90 min

 

Quality

The strip shall be uniform in quality, have a smooth surface and be free from such defects as split, cracks and rust, and shall satisfy the characteristics shown in Table 1.

The annealed copper strip shall be coated with an adequate rust-preventive agent on the premise that the strip will be subjected to long-term storage.
