Cable Copper Strip
The annealed copper strip shall be coated with an adequate rust-preventive agent on the premise that the strip will be subjected to long-term storage.
SCOPE
This standard applies to copper strip [hereinafter called the strip] used for Power cables.
TYPE
Annealed copper strip. The Chemical Composition Cu. % stated below:
1. C1100R – 0 -99.90 min.
2. C1020R – 0 -99.90 min
QUALITY
The strip shall be uniform in quality, have a smooth surface and be free from such defects as split, cracks and rust, and shall satisfy the characteristics shown in Table 1.

TEST METHOD
Thickness
The thickness shall be measured by using accurate to 0.001 mm and measuring three in the longitudinal direction, and shall the average value of these measurements.
Width
The width shall be measured by using slide calipers accurate to 1/20mm
Tensile Strength And Elongation
The tensile strength and elongation accordance with section 5 of JIS Z 2241 [ Method of Tension materials ]. Provided that the test piece shall be gauge length shall be 50 mm.
Conductivity
The conductivity shall be measured in accordance with JIS H 0505 [ Measuring Method for Electrical Resistively and Conductivity of Non-Ferrous Material ].
